From Tulum, we drove up north again to Mérida via Cobá. Cobá was our second Mayan ruin to visit and we were blown away. It is a really amazing complex - we rented bikes for 50 pesos each to get around and I would definitely recommend this to everyone because walking in the heat is way more exhausting. And if you are too lazy to even ride your bike, you can hire someone to paddle you on a trike around.
It is fun to cruise through the jungle on two wheels and we were fortunate enough to also see some monkeys around. I am happy we decided to take a break from driving and stop here.
